Only The Blood | Pastor Mike Robicheaux
It wasn't by any other thing nor the reason that we have what we have except through the blood of Jesus Christ. But this is what it takes people for us to be free from our sin, the blood of God's own son. If we can gather together all the gold, all the silver that ever was ever found, it still with the mountain. There's nothing compared to what brought our salvation. And we're gonna look at something that's important to very every one of us.
Mike Robicheaux:The reason why we're here and the reason why we can we can come to Jesus, the reason why we're adopted into the family, it should always be brought up. We got to preach this often. It's called the blood of Jesus Christ. We never neglected because it wasn't by any other thing nor the reason that we have what we have except through the blood of Jesus Christ. Yes, it's an evangelistic message.
Mike Robicheaux:You know, it's intended to reach out into lost sinners but also it's intended for us to remember, you know, that it wasn't a cheap price that we obtained our our salvation. That's right. You know, when we look at all glory flapping in the wind, we look at the stars and stripes of America. You know, Americans are proud but you see the American flag you know, that symbolizes our liberty and freedoms that we have. We're not free.
Mike Robicheaux:It costed us the blood of many of our forefathers. Right. They've suffered and the price was paid and today now, we can we can enjoy the liberties that we have. We can come to church today and and we can worship god according to dictates of our conscience according as we see it and no one will bother us. It used to be.
Mike Robicheaux:Now, it's starting to bother us now. And it'll probably come to it again where it'll cause blood again but still. Oh yeah. You see that no liberty is ever given at in with no cheap price. It causes whatever we want.
Mike Robicheaux:Right. We understand that. Amen. So, it is without liberty in Jesus Christ. It's free.
Mike Robicheaux:It doesn't cost you a thing but that doesn't mean it's cheap. Hallelujah. It was the most costliest thing that was ever done in all the the the things in this world. Amen. If we can gather together all the gold, all the silver that ever was ever found, it still wouldn't amount to nothing compared to what brought our salvation.
Mike Robicheaux:Let's read in first John the first chapter starting in verse one. That which is from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled of the word of life. For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness and show unto you that eternal life which was with the father and was manifested unto us. That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you. That you also may have fellowship with us and truly our fellowship is with the father and with his son, Jesus Christ.
Mike Robicheaux:And these things rightly unto you that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of him and declare to you that god is light and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not the truth but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ, his son, cleansed us from all sin. I want you to turn in first Peter, the first chapter, and just a couple of books back, and starting at verse 18, it says this, for as much as you know then that you were not redeemed with corruptible things such as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers but with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. Heavenly father, we thank you for this morning as we assemble ourselves together as your word commands that we ought not to forsake it but lord god, the more so as we see that day approaching and edifying, encouraging one another.
Mike Robicheaux:Lord god, we actually open our eyes, open our ears, let us see what your word. Lord, is declaring unto us this day. We pray in Jesus name. Amen and amen. Thank god.
Mike Robicheaux:We want redeemed with anything that was corruptible. Right. And that word redeem is just like literally how it used to be not too many years ago and I'm sure it is in some parts of the world where slaves are taken and sold to the highest bidders. Someone had to buy them. Or if someone had enough money like in the old testament Israel's economy that if someone should sold himself as a slave, that someone in the family could buy him back.
Mike Robicheaux:But you see, so it is with us. We were sold in the slave markets of sin and every one of us was a slave unto sin. We had no choice. We were belong to Satan. The Bible tells us this, but god had to pay a price to ransom our soul.
Mike Robicheaux:What could he give? Could he give half the stars? Could he give the earth? Could he give all the riches that are in heaven? No, it would cost him the greatest price that would ever have to be paid.
Mike Robicheaux:That would be the death which literally symbolizes the blood of his own son. Man, one day we're going to realize this is how awesome, how great a price god paid for our salvation. It is what salvation means, Our deliverance, our freedom. We'll respect what he has done for us because you see, in modern day theology, we all, we we never really comprehend. We know there's a part of it about Jesus being crucified and we know his blood was spilled for us but still puts it well, you gotta belong to the right church.
Mike Robicheaux:You know, you gotta be baptized the right way and in the right place, the right time and you know, in the way that we say you ought to be. You got to dress right, act right. You got to, you know, you just you just got to have some part of it to show god that that he needs you, you know? Oh. That without you, I mean, heaven just ain't heaven.
Mike Robicheaux:But the Bible teaches just the opposite. Right. That we were so dirty and so corrupt and so lost that god had to reach down like from someone says to the guttermost to be able to bring us up to the uttermost.
Congregation:Come on, god.
Mike Robicheaux:You know, we gotta respect what he's done for us and honor what he's done and really begin to grab a handle of what it means when we say the blood of Christ. It's thrown around so freely nowadays, you know, like it's just you know, just another religious symbol. It's not. It's the most costliest thing in all this universe. The more scientists begin to peer out there into the universes, they're just they they they still can't even begin to comprehend just how vast it is.
Mike Robicheaux:We look at this earth and how beautiful it is and it's just a speck in an ocean of of multitudes and trillions and no one knows how much of other planets and whatever god has out there. The Bible says, eyes not seen or you heard of of the things god has prepared for them that love him but if everything there is and what man calls of anything of value, the most glorious thing in heaven is going be this one thing, is the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen. Men want to say, well, I had something to do with it.
Mike Robicheaux:Let's turn back just a little while in the book of Titus. It just, there's Hebrews and there's going be Philemon then Titus, the second chapter, the third chapter. Verse four, it says this, and after the kindness and love of god, our savior, towards men appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done. But according to his mercy, he saved us by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the holy ghost which he shedding us abundantly through Jesus Christ, our savior, that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Over and over again, we can read through the New Testament.
Mike Robicheaux:It points out to us that we were all sinners lost. There was none good. No, not one. It always points to us. The only way that we're saved is because of god's grace.
Mike Robicheaux:Now, this grace that is given to us wasn't cheap. In fact, it had to cost god something. Listen at this verse as I read it unto you. Paul know he was going to Jerusalem and he knew he'd be laying his life down soon but so he gathered together all the elders of the churches around Ephesus and he told them this in Acts 20 and verse 28, take heed therefore unto yourselves and to all the flock over which the holy ghost has made you overseers. To feed the church of god which he has purchased with his own blood.
Mike Robicheaux:What an awesome verse. What an awesome thought that Paul would tell us that you know, god bought us with his own blood. You know, through, I guess we can call Israel experience all since the beginning. It's hard for us to realize just how, you know, how bloody the trail has been.
Congregation:Come on
Mike Robicheaux:now. It never was a pretty thing and someone once said, you know what we have is a butcher house religion. Uh-huh. It is. Come on.
Mike Robicheaux:Yep. You know, because you see nowadays, everybody wants a clean religion. One that's one that's been been dressed up a lot. We can look back all through the beginning of time when we have our, you know, Adam and Eve when they first sinned and they realized when the eyes were open and they ate of the forbidden fruit, the eyes were open so they had to try to cover it up. They saw they went naked.
Mike Robicheaux:So, they sewed fig leaves together to try to cover up but what did god say? That wasn't good enough.
Congregation:Come on now.
Mike Robicheaux:What did god do but he had to take the skins of an innocent animal whose life was shed and and that blood was poured out. For them to be covered. Amen. And all we can look on down. We can go on down.
Mike Robicheaux:We can see Cain and Abel. Abel offering up an innocent lamb to atone. We can look at Abraham and god told him to offer up his only son Isaac when he got him into Mount Moriah and there he lifted up the knife to slay him. God said, no, hold it. He saw a ram that was in the thicket and they had a substitute.
Mike Robicheaux:The ram took the place of his son. We can go all through down when the law was given an animal sacrifice was required and we find that we find that all through that time, I imagine there was multitude and millions upon millions that animals were slaughtered and the blood was shed for the sin of mankind. Can you even seem to think of how much blood has been spilt because of man's sin? Blood everywhere you look through the the this history. Amen.
Mike Robicheaux:There was blood. Pointing to one time when there'd be that one sacrifice that one lamb that would be slain and his name is Jesus Christ. Right. All through the history. Yes, we have to admit this one thing.
Mike Robicheaux:It's a bloody religion. Yes, it is. Very bloody. But this is what it takes people for us to be freed from our sins. Right.
Mike Robicheaux:The blood of god's own son. Amen. I want to go on a little bit more and touch another point. I want you to turn in Luke the twenty second chapter. The gospel of Luke the twenty second chapter.
Mike Robicheaux:All through history, god demanded blood sacrifice. Nothing else would work. Nothing else would be accepted. The only way sins could be covered was through the blood and what god demanded god provided and he given to us a lamb. We can see as John the Baptist in John the third chapter said, behold the lamb of god which taketh away the sins of the world as he was pointing to Jesus Christ.
Mike Robicheaux:As we see as the ending of of Jesus's of his ministry, he was getting ready to lay down his life, to give his life unto us. We find this as we read in Luke chapter 22 starting in verse thing 14 and when the hour was come, he sat down with the 12 apostles with him and he said to them, with desire, have I desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. For I send you, I will not anymore eat thereof until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of god and he took the cup and gave thanks and said, take this and divide among yourselves for I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of god shall come and he took bread and gave thanks and break it and gave unto them saying, this is my body which is given for you. This do in remembrance of me. Likewise, also the cup after supp saying, this cup is the New Testament in my blood which is shed for you and so many today, this is exactly what religion is doing.
Mike Robicheaux:They're offering up a bloodless sacrifice. The religion I come out of in the Catholic church, this is all that's ever offered. They said it's a sacrifice of the mass but it's a sacrifice with no blood is ever ever seen. You see, this is one thing Jesus said for all of us to remember what the lord's supper was all about. It was just to remember his death, his suffering, his body that was broken for us.
Mike Robicheaux:The blood that was shed to cover our sins but his blood wasn't shed in the upper room. It was on the cross. Right. And so many people want to remember the upper room but it wasn't the upper room. It wasn't the last supper.
Mike Robicheaux:It was when he died and his blood was shed upon that cross. Right. That we're supposed to remember. The Bible teaches us. Paul said, I know nothing but Jesus Christ and him crucified where his blood was shed for us as sinners.
Mike Robicheaux:Amen. Hallelujah. I want to remind us of this thing. There's no other covering for our sins but the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Mike Robicheaux:No matter how much we try, look people, I don't care how much we want to you know, deny it. We still trying to think that there's another way to get to god. People all around us, they're trying to do their best and there's nothing wrong with it. I mean, they're trying to think that, you know, there's there's got to be something I can do. There's nothing you can do but trust in the blood of Jesus Christ.
Mike Robicheaux:God demands blood. God demands blood. God demands blood. I want to turn in Romans the third chapter. Amen.
Mike Robicheaux:And we're to look at a few more verses scripture. Romans the third chapter. The apostle Paul, great man of god. He preached in the blood of Jesus Christ. I want to start in verse 21.
Mike Robicheaux:Listen carefully as the apostle Paul instruct us in the ways of righteousness but now the righteousness of god without the law is manifest Being witnessed by the law and the prophets. Now, what he says. So many people base their their salvation on the law, keeping of law, keeping of ritual. But Paul said, no, I'm going show you the righteous of god apart from the law without ever having to go to the law. Even the righteousness of god which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all that they believe, there is no difference.
Mike Robicheaux:For all have sinned and come short of the glory of god. Being justified freely by his grace, we, through the redemption as in Christ Jesus, whom god has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood. To declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are passed through the forbearance of god and to declare I say at this time his righteousness that he might be just and the justifier of him that believe in Jesus. The verse 25 is the most important verse that we can look at right now. God has set forth Christ to be a propitiation through faith in his blood.
Mike Robicheaux:We know it says in verse 28 that we're justified by faith. The Bible says that that that we are justified by faith but faith in what? Faith means a belief or trust in something. What is that trust has to be in? But in nothing else, by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
Mike Robicheaux:Oh yes. The blood of Jesus Christ. You know, we look at Jesus Christ, all the great things that he done. How he came into this world. He was born of a virgin.
Mike Robicheaux:He lived the perfect and a sinless life. Even at the end, a pagan judge testified. Pontius Pilate said, I find no fault in him. What a great testimony in the life of Jesus Christ. But you know, as sinless as he was, that doesn't save you.
Mike Robicheaux:Right. You know, he was done the greatest miracles ever ever done by anyone at any time. He raised the dead. He he healed the sick. He cleansed the leopard.
Mike Robicheaux:You name it. He did it. He did it wondrously. But miracles do not save us. We know that Jesus lived the greatest example of any religious leader there ever was.
Mike Robicheaux:He was more than a religious leader. He was the son of god. Right. But I mean, he showed us. He came and expressed to mankind what god the father was like.
Mike Robicheaux:What god obeyed, what what god wanted through a man that could obey him but you know and as perfect as he was, the greatest examples that he set didn't save us. I said it once before. This one man who said, well, someone said, well, are you born again? He said, well, I I do my best to live like Jesus. He said, well, are you born again?
Mike Robicheaux:Have you been washed in the blood of Jesus? Well, I tried to live like Jesus. He said, well, you mean you're going to do exactly like Jesus? You're to live just like him? He said, well, I do my best.
Mike Robicheaux:Well, what are you going to do? Well, says that Jesus did no sin. Well, you know, none of us can say that we haven't sinned. No. Is the reason why living even like Jesus to do us no good unless you realize that it's only the blood that saves us.
Mike Robicheaux:No blood, no salvation. Jesus could've lived his life just as he did before he died. Could've lived the ripe old age and died a natural death that wouldn't have saved neither one of us. We'd still be lost and bound for hell. The thing that brings about why Paul say I know nothing but Jesus Christ and him crucified because it's only the blood that can redeem us into god.
Mike Robicheaux:It was only the blood that brought us and washed us from our sins. I want you to read in Colossians the first chapter. The book of Colossians, right after Ephesians, there comes Colossians. No, that's Philippians and Colossians. I'll get it right.
Mike Robicheaux:Colossians chapter one. Colossians chapter one. Let me start in verse 12. Giving thanks unto the father who has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in life. Who has delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear son.
Mike Robicheaux:In who we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. The forgiveness of sin comes no other way but because of what Jesus Christ did upon that cross. Let's quickly go through some scriptures because if we don't understand the blood, we won't know our right standing with god. We won't know how to overcome failure. We won't know how to overcome sin.
Mike Robicheaux:The blood is the only remedy has always been the only remedy for the forgiveness of sin. Let's go back and find one of the greatest examples of what Jesus did for us. Let's go into the Old Testament, the book of Exodus the twelfth chapter when we have the when the the feast what is called Passover was given unto Israel because it does, it does have to do with us as the church of Jesus Christ. Exodus chapter 12. In Exodus 12, I'll be skimming through just so we can get the main parts out so we can try to cover some other scriptures today.
Mike Robicheaux:In Exodus the twelfth chapter says this in the third verse, speaking to all the congregation of Israel saying in the tenth month, the tenth day of this month, they shall take every man a lamb. According to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a house. The seventh verse says this, when we go to sixth verse, and he shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month, and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening, and they shall take up the blood and strike it upon the two sideposts, on the up the upper door post of the house where they shall eat it. I want go on to the 12 verse. It shall come.
Mike Robicheaux:For I will come through the land of Egypt this night. I will smite all the firstborn in land of Egypt. Both man and beast and against all the gods of Egypt. I will execute judgement. I am the lord.
Mike Robicheaux:And the blood shall be for you a token upon the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you. And the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt. God had given him the last sign that he would give before Israel would be delivered from their bondage in the land of Egypt. He gave them the sign of the Passover.
Mike Robicheaux:They were to fortake a lamb, a pure lamb, a spotless lamb, symbolic of the lord Jesus Christ. It was to shed his blood. His door, his blood was supposed to be put upon the doorpost and that night when the death angel came to the land, when it seemed that blood, it could not touch anyone that was in that house. Notice what god said when I see the blood. When I see the blood, I will pass over.
Mike Robicheaux:That's where we get the word Passover. You see, this has to do with us because in New Testament time, in first Corinthians chapter five and verse seven, it says that Christ, our Passover, is sacrificed for us. What does it mean? It mean that his blood has been shed and his blood has to be applied over the doorpost of our house. Now, what house is he talking about?
Mike Robicheaux:A physical house? No, but this tabernacle.
Congregation:Come on now.
Mike Robicheaux:This house that was made without hand. This body which is the temple of the holy ghost has to have the blood upon it and when we stand, when believers stand before the lord, all he can say is, when I see the blood.
Congregation:Come on.
Mike Robicheaux:Judgement will be stayed from that person. Amen. It's not when they see your righteousness. Come on. It's not when I see your goodness.
Mike Robicheaux:It's not when I see what name of church you belong to. When I see the blood. Right. I will pass over. Remember that blood is important people.
Mike Robicheaux:That blood is important. It's repulsive. There's nothing to be desired like I said in the world but to us, we cling into what brought us our salvation. Look how it should mean to us. Let's go in the next book into Leviticus the thirteenth chapter.
Mike Robicheaux:Leviticus the fourteenth chapter. Here, we're to use an example of the leper. The leper, leprosy is a disgusting disease. It's a disease. It's a skin that eats away in the, you know, in your ex your your extremity.
Mike Robicheaux:Someone's, know, if it eats upon you, your ears fall off, your your nose, your lips, your toes, your fingers, it begins to, you just literally rotting away. Right. Which is symbol of sin. A person that's in sin, they're dead while they're living. Right.
Mike Robicheaux:They're rotting away. They're dying. They're just waiting. So, in this life, they're going to their next misery there is. Right.
Mike Robicheaux:And this is what everyone of us is in the eyes of god. When god looks at you before you were shaved, you were a leper. You were rotting. You were you were filthy. Right.
Mike Robicheaux:So bad it was that in Leviticus fourteen thirteen, starting, let me read verse forty five and forty six. It says, the leper in whom is the plague, his clothes shall be rent and his head bare and he shall put a covering upon his upper lip and cry, unclean, unclean. In all the days wherein the plague shall be in him, he shall be defiled. He is unclean. He shall dwell alone without the camp shall be shall his habitation be.
Mike Robicheaux:I don't care how religious, how good in your own eyes you are, how self righteous you are, how many good works you are. God says, you must stay away. Right. You can't come near god. All the days of your life, the only thing you can do is say unclean, unclean.
Mike Robicheaux:We can never approach him to god because of disease that we had. That disease called sin.
Congregation:Amen. Come on.
Mike Robicheaux:I know most people don't want to believe that that's how you look in god's eyes but the Bible says, all our righteous ness was unclean rag, filthy rags. That's right. But you see, there came a time where some of em were healed of this disease. But even though they were healed, they had a certain thing they had to go through. I want to read in the fourteenth chapter.
Mike Robicheaux:The second verse says this, and this shall be the law of the leper. In the day of his cleansing, he shall be born to the priest. How many of you, if you were a leper, you'd like to be cleansed from it? Amen. Oh, I'd want to be made whole.
Mike Robicheaux:I don't want to be made right where I can come and and worship god and know god but listen at this symbol which speaks about relationship. It says this in verse four, then shall the priest command for him to take for him that is to be cleansed two birds alive. Clean and cedar wood and scarlet and hyssop. I'm not going through all of every symbol. Two things is two birds.
Mike Robicheaux:Remember when Jesus baptized, the holy ghost came down in the symbol of a dove, symbolizing the spirit. I want to take this for just an example. Here's your spirit and the spirit of Jesus Christ. Fifth verse says, and the priest shall command one of the birds to be killed in an earthen vessel over running water. Someone was killed whose blood was shed in an earthen vessel.
Mike Robicheaux:Jesus Christ took upon a body of clay. And as for the living bird, he shall take it and to see the wood and to scarlet and hyssop and shall dip them in the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over running water. And he shall sprinkle upon him that to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times and shall pronounce him clean and let the living bird loose into an open field. You see, for the this is one of the symbols of this man being released from his sin, from his uncleanliness. One life had to be laid down.
Mike Robicheaux:That blood put upon the one that was remain alive and to be set free. You notice what happened to everyone of us? We were dead. But someone came called Jesus Christ to lay down his life. His blood was spear spilled.
Mike Robicheaux:And as we come to him, that blood is sprinkled upon us, and we're allowed to go free. We were under the curse of the law. We were demanded by the law to be put to death. We were commanded under the law by the breaking of the law to be suffer eternally in the devil's hell. But because someone came.
Mike Robicheaux:This one bird was sacrificed and his blood put upon us. We were set free. Again, there's another symbol of it, how he was to be made free. I want to read in the twelfth verse and the priest shall take him one he lamb and offer for him a trespass offering, the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before the lord, and he shall slay the lamb in the place where he killed the sin offering and the burnt offering in the holy place. For the for as the sin offering in the priest, so the trespass offering is most holy.
Mike Robicheaux:And the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering. And the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that was to be cleansed. And upon the thumb of his right hand and upon the great toe of his right foot. And this is what it looks like. You see when that blood is is is shed.
Mike Robicheaux:And it's put unto us as lepers. The priest is to take it and put upon our right ear. Now we can hear. We're cleansed. Put it upon our thumbs.
Mike Robicheaux:Now we're usable to god. He put it upon our feet. Now we can walk for god. Before that, no matter how good we were, we were unusable, unsuitable for anything god can do but it was the blood. Leprosy.
Mike Robicheaux:That cleansed us. Right. Leprosy was a type of sin. We're all spiritual leopards and until the blood of Jesus Christ came and purchased our redemption, there was no hope. Thus said, this is one of my favorite verses.
Mike Robicheaux:Revelation one five, unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. No saying goes, who can take a black heart, wash it in red blood, and make it come out white as snow. Amen. Only the blood of Jesus Christ. Revelations five nine says this, thou hast redeemed us unto god by thy blood.
Mike Robicheaux:All through the new the the the New Testament especially in the Book of Revelation as it makes us gives us a glimpse into heaven. What do we see in heaven? The lamb of god that was slain. Through all eternity, we're going remember this. There's a lamb up there who was slain for our sins.
Mike Robicheaux:Exodus the twenty fourth chapter, can we turn there for just a little while? Exodus chapter 24. Listen at this. Exodus 24 starting starting in verse five and he sent young men and the children of Israel which offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the lord. And Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins.
Mike Robicheaux:And half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. And he took the book of the covenant and read in the audience of the people and they said, all that the lord has said, we will do and be obedient and Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people and said, behold, the blood of the covenant which the lord has made with you concerning all these words. Then went up Moses and Aaron and Nahab and Abihu and 70 of the elders of Israel and they saw god of Israel. There was under his feet as it was a paid work of a sapphire stone and it were the body of where the body of heaven in its clearness and upon the nobles of the children of Israel, he laid not his hand. Also, they saw god and did eat and drink with him.
Mike Robicheaux:You see, the blood that was sacrificed then. It brought them access unto god. These 70 with Moses and Aaron and Ahab and Abahu, they were able to approach him to god. The Bible said, they even sat and ate with god because of one thing that made him ready, the blood. That blood then that was shed was a symbol of the coming blood of Jesus Christ.
Mike Robicheaux:I want you to turn now in Ephesians the second chapter. Remember, that was Old Testament. Let's look at what it deals with us in New Testament terms. Ephesians chapter two. Ephesians chapter two.
Mike Robicheaux:I like these verses. Let me start in verse 11. Listen carefully to these verses. Remember therefore that you being in times past Gentiles in the flesh who are called uncircumcision by that which is called the circumcision in the flesh made by hands. At that time, he's speaking to everyone of us, not a one exception here.
Mike Robicheaux:At that time, you are without Christ. Being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without god in the world. This is our state without Jesus Christ. But now, in Christ Jesus, you were sometimes were far off or made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace.
Mike Robicheaux:Who hath made both one and has broken down the middle wall of petition between us. Thank god for that word. I couldn't get to him. No matter how religious and how many good, how many church ordinances, and how many rituals I went through couldn't do with that one act what Jesus Christ did for me. His blood washed me from our sins and brought me nigh unto him.
Mike Robicheaux:I want you to return in Hebrews the tenth chapter. In Hebrews the tenth chapter Hebrews chapter 10. Most scariest, awesomest thing there is. Just imagine to go into the presence of god unprepared. We can read Old Testament type and shadows.
Mike Robicheaux:No one would come into the presence of god. No one except the high priest once a year and that only if he had the blood of the sacrifice. Can you imagine us trying to just go right into the presence of god? What would happen? I mean, we would just be destroyed.
Mike Robicheaux:We would just be totally wiped out. Come on. Except for one thing that gives us. I mean, no matter how good I am, Oh, you know, it's one reason why I can go to god. It says in the nineteenth verse of Hebrews 10, having therefore, brethren, boldness is more than boldness, people.
Mike Robicheaux:To enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. Amen. The reason you can have boldness which means confidence and assurance. It's because you understand the blood was shed for your your sins. I said it many many time before and I'll always say it.
Mike Robicheaux:The Old Testament type is still for us today. You could not approach god unless you had a sacrifice. When they brought it to the priest, this lamb, a male lamb without spot, without blemish, The priest didn't check the person. They checked the lamb. It had to be perfect.
Mike Robicheaux:It had to be pure. Otherwise, it was rejected. Same thing it is when we come to God. God doesn't look at the person per se. He looks at the lamb.
Mike Robicheaux:It has to be perfect. It has to be pure. Amen. Behold, the lamb of god which taketh away the sins of the world. This is the way that we come to god.
Mike Robicheaux:Colossians the first chapter. What did this blood do for us? We're talking about the death of Jesus Christ. His blood being spilt not for anything he did. All he did was good.
Mike Robicheaux:We gotta remember it was spilt because of our sins. Christ. Book of Colossians, the first chapter. Let's look at just a little while some of the blessings we have because of what Jesus did. First one is something that you cannot get anywhere else in the world but through the blood of Jesus Christ.
Mike Robicheaux:People have tried it through pleasures. They've tried it through drugs. They've tried it through alcohol. They try living for themselves, trying to satiate their lives, every good thing, every lust and desire they can think of but they'll never satisfy. Come on.
Mike Robicheaux:This is in the book of Colossians in verse 20. And having made peace through the blood of his cross. To him to reconcile all things into himself. I say, by him I say, whether it be things in earth and things in heaven. And you that were sometimes alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death to present you holy, unblameable, and unreprovable in his sight.
Mike Robicheaux:One of the greatest things happened when Jesus Christ died on the cross and when I came to Jesus Christ and my sins were washed away in his own blood is now I have peace with god. Listen, all the years I wasted in religion did not get me peace. It was just in a moment, an instant of time when I turned to Jesus Christ for the cleansing of my sin was the only time that I ever knew what peace was. I want you to turn in Ephesians the first chapter. Ephesians the first chapter.
Mike Robicheaux:Ephesians the first chapter. And the seventh verse says this, in whom we have redemption through his blood. The forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace. Another thing, greatest blessing there is is the blessing of knowing that you're forgiven. Amen.
Mike Robicheaux:From your sins. Amen. You see, it's easy. Someone is self right to say, well, forgiven from what? But when you realize you're guilty, you were a sinner, you were lost and without hope.
Mike Robicheaux:He forgave you of all your sins. You see, we come out of a religion that teaches us, man, you have to do something to pay for your sin. You have to do penance. The monks, they have to stay up. They have to fast off and do without sleep.
Mike Robicheaux:Say much prayer to atone for their sins. People get locked away in nunneries and everything else to try to to help get their their sins paid for but he says, no, there's only one way. It was the blood. That forgave us of our sins. The Bible says in the book of Revelation the twelfth chapter in the first verse.
Mike Robicheaux:That we overcome him. By the blood of the lamb. What's he talking about? He said, victory from this world. The world, the sin is bondage that keeps people down and away from god.
Mike Robicheaux:The deceptions that Satan has, the traps that he has. We become victorious over all these things because of one thing. It because about the word of our testimony and the blood of the lamb that we love not our lives until the end. What else is there? Well,

Mike Robicheaux:Bible said this way is to know that you're clean. I read it earlier. First John one seven. It He says that if we walk in the light as he is in the light, then we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ, his son cleanses us from all sin. What a feeling.
Mike Robicheaux:You know, after you go out there and you're working, you're dirty, you're sweaty, you're tired, you know, and you just take your good, clean bath. I mean, you you feel so clean. But you're sick of your spirit, man that is all dirty and clean. There's no way for it to get clean except through one way. Oh yeah.
Mike Robicheaux:And when you experience it through the blood, you, it's just something about it. When a person comes to Jesus Christ and their sins are forgiven, the first thing he said, I just feel so clean. Amen. And this is what the blood does. It cleanses us from all our sins.

Mike Robicheaux:I want you to read in the book of Revelations the seventh chapter. Y'all still here? Amen. Amen. I'm just trying to show you something how we should cling to and love the blood of our lord Jesus Christ.
Mike Robicheaux:Amen. Revelations the seventh chapter. How about the blessings of eternal life? How about the blessings of being able to live in paradise, living in the glories of god, and enjoy with him all the things that he's prepared for them that love him. To be around there and and experience what it means to have no pain, no suffering.
Mike Robicheaux:Hallelujah. And to live forever with him in perfectness. It's possible. But there's only one way to do it. It says Revelation the seventh chapter starting in the night verse.
Mike Robicheaux:After this, I beheld and all great multitude which no man could number of all nations and kindreds and people and tongues stood before the throne and

Mike Robicheaux:the lamb clothed in white robes and palms in their hands and they cried with a loud voice saying, salvation to our god which sit upon the throne and unto the lamb and all the angels stood down about the throne and about the elders and the foreign beast and fell fell before the throne on their face and worship god saying, amen. Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be unto our god forever and ever. Amen. And one of the elders answered, said unto me, what are these which are arrayed in white robes and whence came they? And he said and I said to him, sir, thou knowest and he said unto me, these are they which came out of great tribulation and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the lamb.
Mike Robicheaux:There's no difference with them and with us. Here he's talking about the tribulation saints, those who've been caught in the tribulation period after the rapture but it came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Their sins were not washed away by the religion they belong to. Their sins were not washed away by their righteous deeds. Their sin is only washed away by one thing just like ours are.
Mike Robicheaux:It's through the blood of Jesus Christ, our lord. The only reason. Hebrews the ninth chapter. What about the power it has to change a life? Referring to our life.
Mike Robicheaux:Hebrews. The ninth chapter One thing to get saved, next thing is to stay safe. So one thing to know truth, another thing to be able to live truth. It's not in ourselves. We try in ourselves and we fail miserably every time.
Mike Robicheaux:We try to prove to god I'll be the best Christian there is only to fail again because we gotta realize it's only one place where it's going to be done. The thirteenth verse of chapter nine, it says this, for if the blood of bulls and of goats and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled the unclean sanctified to the purifying of flesh. What he's saying is, if the Old Testament types of animal blood can can cover sins to pacify the wrath of god against sin. Listen to this, how much more shall the blood of Christ who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to god, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living god. It does not only more than just knowing you're forgiven, you realize you're forgiven.
Mike Robicheaux:Your attitude, your conscience, your your nature is changed because this is the only, the only thing that can cause a person to be born again. Right. Not water. Right. Not a church.
Mike Robicheaux:But the washing in the blood of Jesus Christ. One thing we find out, we see that the blood terrifies the powers of hell. When they realize that they lose their hold over a human soul, that they no longer have control over it. How many times have we seen it in deliverance when we plead the blood of Jesus Christ, demons flee. Jesus said in Revelations one verse 17 to 18, fear not, for I am the first and the last.
Mike Robicheaux:I am he that was live it the that live it and was dead. Behold, I am alive forevermore and I have the keys of hell and of death. Jesus always proclaimed his triumph over all the powers of darkness because of the blood that was shed. He brought our life and our freedom. Romans eight thirty seven says, and all these things were more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Mike Robicheaux:What does it mean? We can conquer sin. We can conquer the devil and the world because of the blood that was shed for us. The blood will always be before the throne. Always, always, always, always.
Mike Robicheaux:The living blood of our lord Jesus Christ. Yes. When Jesus Christ reappears at the after the battle of Armageddon, when he comes back into this earth to take up the rules and reigns of this earth and just in a short time. Do you know what it'll look like? I know the Bible said he's coming back as king as king and lord of lords.
Mike Robicheaux:He's coming up back upon a white charger and I mean, he'll be almighty. All the armies of the world are going to stand there in opposition of him, try to destroy him But out of his mouth, he's gonna go a sharp two edged sword. Him by himself single handedly will destroy all the opposition. But listen how he's dressed in Revelations 19 and verse 13. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood, and his name is called the word of God.
Mike Robicheaux:When he comes back upon him, they'll they'll see something. It'll be blood upon him because that blood will never lose his power. That blood is what purchased our salvation. That blood is what's gonna give us life throughout all eternity because even in the old testament, he said the life is in the blood. For And us in New Testament, Christians, our life is in one place, is in the blood of our lord Jesus Christ.
Mike Robicheaux:We had to take a transfusion of our old dead and dying and corrupted blood that he put upon that living blood in our veins, and now we're the children of god and we'll live forever because of that blood that was shed for us. Remember, it's the lamb of god that was slain. Never is he seen in heaven as just the lamb. It's the lamb that was slain. His blood was shed for us.
Mike Robicheaux:Yeah. I want you to turn in Matthew twenty seventh chapter. Imma close with these verses. Without the blood, you're headed for hell. Bless.
Mike Robicheaux:You're hopeless, helpless, and hell bound unless the blood of Jesus Christ has been applied to your soul. There is no other way. There is no other hope. There isn't even any even a faint thought of ever getting there except through the blood of Jesus Christ. Matthew 27.
Mike Robicheaux:This is Jesus standing before Pilate. Matthew 27 starting in verse 24. And when Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but rather a tumult was made. He took water and washed his hands before the multitude saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person. See to it.
Mike Robicheaux:Then answered all the people and said, his blood be upon us and upon our children. One thing we'll find out about the blood of Jesus Christ, there is no neutrality concerning the life and death of Jesus Christ and the blood that we shed. You will either have the blood of Jesus Christ upon your souls or on your hands. You see, you can't say, well, I haven't heard. I don't want to do nothing and then not do nothing about it.
Mike Robicheaux:No, the blood of Jesus Christ is going to be applied one way or the other. You'll either have it on your shoulder. You'll be cleansed from your sin when you stand before him. He'll say, when I see the blood, I'll pass over or you'll stand before him one day and the blood of Jesus Christ will drip from your hands because you'll be the one that's going to be condemned for killing god's own son. You see, the Jews said this in ignorance.
Mike Robicheaux:They said, his blood be upon us and for all the years that have passed by, they've suffered greatly because of this one thing, they crucified their savior but we can't put all the blame on them because we realize the fuller revelation, the reason Jesus came was to die for the sins of all of us. We kill them. But you see, it was for a good reason. It was the only way that we could be forgiven. So, I want to ask you today, Pilate thought washing his hands in water would have cleared his guilt but no, water won't wash away without the shedding of blood.
Mike Robicheaux:There is no remission of sins. So many people think, well, I'm baptized to the church. I'm ready. No. No.
Mike Robicheaux:No. No. All you did then was come up a wet sinner. The blood has to be applied. People say, I don't want nothing to do with him.
Mike Robicheaux:The blood is applied on your hands then. There's no old song that says, there's a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel's veins and sinners plunge beneath that flood and lose all their guilty sting. The only way for your old, dirty, black heart to be made white as snow is to come through the blood of Jesus Christ. Now, on every head bowed for just a moment, maybe there's someone here that doesn't know Jesus Christ. Maybe they're trusting in their own self righteousness.
Mike Robicheaux:Maybe they're trusting because they made a profession of faith but if you're not trusting in the blood, if you don't have faith in that blood that was shed for you, you'll split hell wide open. You see, it's no joke. It cost god the most dear, the most precious thing that he had, his own son. God is filled with wrath. I know god is a god of love.
Mike Robicheaux:We read of a common tribulation period. The reason why so much wrath will be poured out is because what people do with their son. When they hear the gospel, they mock, they scorn it, they laugh at it, they ridicule it, they put it aside, they don't want to give no heed to it, they said I want to live my own life. This is the reason the Bible says why the wrath of god is coming upon this world. It's because people, they despise what god did for them.
Mike Robicheaux:They can't see how god's own blood would have to be shed for their sins. Sin is that bad. So, I'm trying to help you this day and give you warning, respect the blood of Jesus Christ. If you don't know him, come through that blood. It's the only safe way to crossover to the other side.
